7. Base Configuration
If you ran the tabdump command in the last chapter you probably saw a ton of tables and thought to yourself: "Wow, this is formidable. There's too many knobs!"
But don't fret. The good news is that most implementations only require a few knobs. In general we don't configure table values unless we have to. Take the lazy man approach. We'll go over several tables here that you'll probably need to define. Once completed, you should have everything you need to get rolling. Then in subsequent chapters, we'll explain what table values need to be changed for certain things to happen.
